Chronic kidney disease is also known as chronic renal disease or chronic kidney failure. It is a disease in which there is gradual loss of kidney function over time. Kidneys are the excretory organs which remove wastes and excess fluids from the blood and pass it out in the form of urine. When the kidneys don’t work properly, there is build up of electrolytes, fluids and wastes in the body. In the early stages of kidney disease, the symptoms are minor but as the disease progresses, symptoms become prominent. It can lead to other health problems like anemia, high blood pressure, poor nutrition, etc. Early detection of the disease can prevent the further worsening of the kidney disease. If not treated at time, chronic kidney disease can lead to kidney failure due to which dialysis and kidney transplant is required for maintaining the life of an individual.


Chronic kidney disease is caused by a disease which hampers the functioning of the kidney, thereby causing damage to the kidney over time. The diseases which can be responsible for the kidney damage are:

  • High blood pressure
  • Frequent kidney infections
  • Inflammation of the glomerulus – glomerulonephritis
  • Diabetes
  • Presence of renal stones
  • Interstitial nephritis
  • Enlargement of prostate gland
  • Cancer of urinary bladder
  • Polycystic kidney disease
  • Autoimmune diseases like lupus nephritis


Some factors increase the risk of a person developing the kidney disease. The factors are:

  • Having a close relative suffering from chronic kidney disease
  • Old age
  • Abnormal structure of kidney

In the early stages, there are no symptoms of kidney disease. But with time as the disease progresses, the symptoms start appearing. Following are the common signs and symptoms of the disease:

  • Loss of appetite
  • Swelling of feet and ankles
  • Muscle cramps
  • Nausea
  • Vomiting
  • Feeling tired
  • Dryness in skin
  • Itchiness
  • Lack of concentration
  • Increased or decreased frequency of urination

1. Gokshura Capsules

Gokshuru capsules are pure ayurvedic medicine which is very effective in kidney disorders as it has anti-inflammatory properties that reduce the swelling of the abdomen. It also acts as diuretic which causes increased urine secretion from the body and removal of all the toxins. These capsules contain pure extract of Gokshura (Tribulus terrestris). 3. Kidney Care Churna

Kidney care churna keep all kidney function tests (serum creatinine, urea, sodium, potassium, chlorine, & uric acid), etc in normal range. 4. UTI Care Tablet
